2025 Fall Field Cleanup

Stetson Flyers Fall Cleanup 
The Fall annual cleanup was held on Friday morning October 24. This involved making repairs and preparing the Stetson Flyers facility for the winter including installing the winter shelter. 

The eleven members who volunteered their time were Pierre Coulombe, Daniel Marcotte, Greg Oliver, Fred Lottes, Laurel Goodrich, Charlie Colwell, Michael Wendt, Jon Harper, Hal MacDonald, Michel Raymond, Michael Lalonde.
1.    Winter shelter installed. 
2.    Filled in holes along laneway.
3.    Cut trees behind toilet
4.    Weed wacked where we stored the shelters.
5.    Cleaned both BBQs.
6.    Remove Great Hobbies signs from flight line fence.
7.    Tree clearing in north bush.
8.    Replaced flight line fence cable. 
9.    Tightened frame bolts of large shelter.

2025 Fall Field Cleanup

Fall Field Clean Up is scheduled for Friday October 24, 8:30-12:00.

We need some helpers with the following items please:

  • Minor tree trimming along laneway.
  • Remove summer shelter and install winter shelter
  • Light repairs to set up tables.
  • Add gravel to low spots
  • Clean BBQ’s

We will need one or two wheelbarrows and some shovels and rakes. Please bring rubber boots and work gloves.  

The fall clean-up is fairly light work, so please come out and help, and get some flying in as soon as soon as it is finished!

2025 September Club Meeting

SHOW, TELL & SELL - Stetson Flyers Fall Kick-Off Meeting - Tue. Sept. 23rd.

Kicking off our Fall meetings with MORE, we are holding a Show and Tell AND Sell theme.

SHOW & TELL: Bring your airplanes and heli’s, both new and experienced, and let folks see what you have been doing this summer. There are lots of stories! We have seen some cool mods done to Aero Scouts and similar simple birds which deserve being shown, as well as some great c/l, scale and aerobatic planes, some with the 700-foot package installed which needs explaining.  Bring them out and tell us! Share your experiences and what you have discovered. Come a little early (6:30-6:45pm) to set your stuff up and be a part of club meetings with MORE! Meeting starts at 7:00pm.

SELL: Bring your FOR-SALE stuff out as well and let folks browse. It’s a great chance to get your available equipment seen by the club members, and a unique buying opportunity. Come a little early (6:30-6:45pm) to set your stuff up and be a part of club meetings with MORE! Meeting starts at 7:00pm.

Be a part of the action this autumn. Support your club and come have some fun at meetings!
