March 3, 2012: Winter Fun Fly (Club gathering)
Stetson Flyers welcomes you to the annual Winter Fun Fly. All aircraft types are welcome for a fun filled day of flying and a way to welcome the spring. No landing fee will be assessed; however, a valid MAAC and Stetsons membership is mandatory.

April 24, 2012: Stetson Ground School Night (club gathering)
Stetson Ground School is a one night, all inclusive session where the CFI and several experienced pilots give you the students an extensive but high level overview of everything from aircraft parts and function, to engines and batteries, safety and handling and much more!
The class date is Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 7:00pm at the D & S Southern Comfort B.B.Q restaurant in Carlsbad Springs and will give you a great starting point for radio control aircraft flying and for the upcoming season.

May 12, 2012: Field clean-up (Club gathering)
The Stetson Flyers Field Cleanup will be held on this date and your participation would be appreciated. Arrive early at 0830 hrs with your shovels, rakes, power tools and work clothes. This is the one day when the aircraft are left at home! A list of items to be done will be available in advance.
Many hands make light work! Please come and help!

May 26, 2012: IMAC Boot Camp
Stetson Field will host an IMAC Boot Camp day for the Ottawa Valley Zone, with instruction from several of the area's top aerobatic pilots. If you have ever thought of trying out the world of Precision Aerobatics, this day is for you. Come out and learn what IMAC is about, how it works, and see what a Basic Sequence looks like. Meet the friendly faces of IMAC and soak up all the information you can.

June 2-3, 2012: Ed Rae Memorial Fun Fly WEEKEND (MAAC EVENT)
Stetson Flyers invite you to join us for our first MAAC event of the year. We are expanding the format to a full weekend of fun and flying. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with flying and fun events such as Limbo, night flying Saturday evening, various fly-by's of classics and warbirds, etc.
All types of aircraft and heli's are welcome. Show us what you have been working on all winter and share in the beauty of flight at our great field.
Limited camping available. (no hookups) Canteen service and a Saturday afternoon Stetson Style BBQ Dinner will be available. Landing Fee $10.00

July 1, 2012: Canada Aviation Museum Static Displays
Once again Stetson Flyers will display aircraft of all types at the Aviation Museum. This is a club event, in cooperation with the Canada Aviation Museum. YOUR assistance is requested. All types and sizes of aircraft and heli's will be welcomed.
Bring your aircraft to the museum by 9 AM that day. Pickup around 4pm.

July 21-22, 2012: IMAC Aerobatic Competition at Stetson field. (MAAC & IMAC Event)
For the second year in a row, Stetson Field will host a Regional IMAC event for all you Aerobatic Flyers! Enter your favorite aircraft in BASIC and try this out!
Saturday all day and Sunday morning will see competitive aerobatic rounds flown.
Early Sunday afternoon will see a freestyle event flown, always a great crowd pleaser.
LOTS of volunteers make light work at this event. Come see aerobatic precision flying up close along with some beautiful aircraft, and volunteer as a scribe, etc.
Canteen services will be available along with limited camping. (no hookups)

Sept. 8-9, 2012: Stetson Flyers Annual IMAA Giant Scale Rally and Pig Roast dinner MAAC & IMAA EVENT. (rain date: none)
Please join us again this year for a BIG weekend of IMAA Giant Scale fun featuring the very popular Roast Pig dinner on Saturday afternoon. MAAC or AMA is required and all aircraft must be IMAA legal. Flight line opens at 9am both days and a landing fee of $10 will be charged.
Stetson Canteen will be available. Camping is available onsite (no hookups).

September 29, 2012: New Flyers Fun Fly (Club gathering) (rain date Sept 30)
Stetson Flyers welcomes all the new flyers who participated in the 2012 Stetson Flight School. Even if you did not get your wings, you are welcome to fly with one of the instructors attending the event. It will be also be a chance to thank our instructors who devoted most of their Tuesday nights for us. All aircraft types are welcome for a fun filled day of flying at our magnificent field. Access to our field will be restricted to new flyers only from 9:00am to 3:00pm (open flying after 3pm). Prizes are included in the landing fee of $5.00. The Stetson canteen will be available for food and soft drinks.
